Treganna Gin is a welsh artisan distillery established in the suburban area of Canton in Cardiff. Each drop of Treganna Gin is lovingly crafted using only the finest botanicals sourced from around the world. Distilled in small 50 bottle batches using copper alembic stills, the tradition of making gin with integrity is the driving force behind our ambition. 

Our mascot – Billy the Seal – was an unintended stowaway caught in a trawlers net. Upon his arrival he was taken to Victoria Park, which at the time was an impressive menagerie full of exotic animals. Today there’s no mention of the Indian Parrots, Arabian monkeys or Japanese Bantams but there is a large statue of Billy. Substance is clearly more memorable than style, a message which resonates through the walls of our distillery.

Our first gin recipes were crafted a few yards from Billy’s home. We knew that if we wanted to stand out in the artisan gin world, we’d have to summon the spirit of Billy.
